What it is, what it needs, and what it asks for on first run.
What is Wandflow, in one sentence?
A magic wand for your Mac: hold a key like a walkie-talkie, say a short command, let go, and the Mac obeys. Say work and your apps launch, your windows land in their saved places, your pages reopen in the browser they came from, and the scene applies.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on an Apple silicon Mac (M-series). Intel Macs are not supported. Wandflow is a notarized, stapled DMG you download directly, and it keeps itself up to date.
Which permissions does it need, and why?
Three. Microphone, to hear you while you hold the key. Speech Recognition, so macOS can transcribe on-device. Accessibility, which is what actually lets an app move and resize other apps' windows.
What breaks if I decline Accessibility?
Window work stops: nothing can be moved, tiled, resized or restored, so setups can only launch apps and apply scene settings. Voice recognition and system actions still work. You can grant it later in System Settings and everything resumes.
Do I have to speak? Can I use it silently?
Speaking is the point, but not the only path. Every command Wandflow understands can also be triggered from the app itself, so you can run a setup by clicking it when you're in a quiet room.
Which key do I hold?
Right Command by default — Wandflow swallows the press so it won't trigger anything else. If you chord with it, pick F13 to F16 in Settings instead.
How it works
The mechanics, the undo, and the optional AI part.
What is a setup, exactly?
A saved scene with a name. It remembers which apps to launch, where each window goes on which display, which pages to reopen in which browser, and the room settings — volume, brightness, light or dark, music, an arrival chime.
What if it puts things in the wrong place?
Every setup that moves windows hands you a receipt card with Put it back, a one-step undo that restores the arrangement you had. The same card offers Close the rest if you want a clean desk.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every core command — setups, window management, system actions — runs entirely on your Mac and never touches the network. Ask is the only part that needs a connection, and it's optional.
What is Ask, and what can it do?
An optional fallback for phrases the on-device grammar can't resolve. It turns one line of text into the same safe actions Wandflow already knows — windows, apps, system state. Never shell commands, never your files. It can be switched off.
Does it handle more than one display?
Yes. Layouts are multi-display aware: windows are saved and restored per display, and there are commands for moving a window to the next display. Docking and undocking a laptop is a case setups are built for.
Can it suggest setups for me?
Magic can propose setups from the apps you actually use, and shows its reasoning so you can see why. The scan happens entirely on your Mac.
Privacy
What stays local, what goes online, and what is recorded.
Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
No. Every core command uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed on your Mac and discarded — never recorded, never stored, never uploaded.
What data is actually collected?
For each Ask request: a timestamp, an anonymous install ID, your plan, token counts and the outcome — not the phrase itself. Plus a salted hash of your IP address to stop free-tier abuse, and, if you buy Pro, your email, plan, subscription status, renewal date and Polar's identifiers. What exactly does Ask send?
One line of text — the transcript your Mac produced — to my server and on to Anthropic, to be converted into actions. Never audio, never your screen, never your files.
Who else touches my data?
Four sub-processors: Anthropic converts Ask phrases into actions, Supabase stores accounts and quotas, Polar handles payments as merchant of record, and Lovable hosts this website.
Where do my setups live?
In your own user folder on your Mac, as files you can read, back up or delete. They aren't synced to me.

What does Free include?
Unlimited voice commands, three saved setups, all window and system commands, and 25 Ask requests a week. Free forever, not a timed demo.
What does Pro cost and what does it add?
$6.99 a month or $59.99 a year. Unlimited setups, unlimited Ask within fair use, the full scene — volume, brightness, light or dark, music, sounds, Shortcuts — and every future update.
What happens when the trial ends?
The 14-day trial is full Pro and takes no credit card, so nothing is charged and there's nothing to cancel. Afterwards you're on Free, and everything you built stays exactly as it is — only creating a fourth setup waits for Pro.
Can I use it on more than one Mac?
Yes. Sign in on each Mac and your Pro plan applies there; the device count is tracked by install ID. Setups are stored locally per Mac, so each machine keeps the layouts that make sense for its displays.
How do I cancel?
From the management link on your Polar receipt, any time. Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. No retention flow.
How do refunds work?
Fourteen days, no questions asked. Email support@wandflow.app from the address on your receipt and it's processed through Polar, the merchant of record.
Troubleshooting
When something doesn't land the way you expected.
A window didn't move. Why?
Usually Accessibility permission, or an app that enforces a minimum window size. Wandflow never forces a window smaller than the app allows — it places what it can and keeps the arrangement tidy rather than fighting the app.
It didn't hear me.
Check that the key is held for the whole phrase — it works like a walkie-talkie, so release ends the command. Then check Microphone and Speech Recognition permission, and that the right input device is selected in System Settings.
Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?
Moving other apps' windows needs Accessibility access the App Store sandbox won't allow. So Wandflow ships as a notarized, stapled direct download and updates itself.
How do updates work?
The app checks for new notarized builds and updates in place. No store account, no reinstalling.
